Harvey Milhiser, CPA
Harvey has over 50 years of experience in public accounting. He has extensive experience in the areas of audits, reviews and compilations in the construction, real estate, not-for-profit, manufacturing, retail and wholesale industries, as well as HUD and FHA issues.
As an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public accountants (AICPA), Harvey is an instructor and was chair of the National Accounting and Auditing Advanced Technical Symposium (NAAATS). He was also a member of two AICPA Task Forces Scholarship Committees. Locally, Harvey serves as an instructor for the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and was chair of the MACPA Peer Review Committee, for which he received the Outstanding Chair Award for the year 2006-2007.
Harvey has performed over 800 peer reviews. In this capacity, he has reviewed the procedures of many top accounting firms in the country, encompassing several industries. Harvey’s value is significant in bringing cutting-edge methods and options into the firm and in maintaining GSG’s quality control standards. He is also a member of the Accounting and Auditing Standards and Peer Review Committees.
Harvey received his Accounting degree from the University of Baltimore in 1965 and received his CPA certification in 1968. He is a past treasurer and president of the Sports Boosters of Maryland.
