The new Directors provide additional Business and Financial Planning capabilities to Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn, P.A. and the deal—should enhance GSG’s future growth and foothold in Maryland.

Bondroff and Liberman welcome the opportunity to merge with a larger firm and utilize the expanded expertise.
“Our firm and Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn, P.A. share a common culture, vision, and philosophy, which include a strong and consistent commitment to client service. We share the same sense of professionalism, and the same dedication to both the accounting profession and to our community” said Director Barry B. Bondroff.

Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn, P.A., (GSG) of Owings Mills, the fifteenth largest certified public accounting firm in Maryland, and Barry B. Bondroff, CPA, Joseph A. Liberman, MS, CPA, and the professional staff of Grabush, Newman & Co. P.A.——have merged combining forces to provide a comprehensive menu of accounting, financial, and consulting services for businesses and individuals throughout Maryland. The combined “75–employee plus” firm will operate under the name of Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn, P.A. and will function from the GSG headquarters—located in Owings Mills, Maryland.

A full-service accounting and consulting firm, GSG was founded with a commitment to technical quality and dedication to client service. In 2000, Schiller, Holinsky & Gardyn, an Owings Mills based firm for 17 years merged with Harry B. Gorfine, a Baltimore based firm since 1934 creating Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn, P.A. In November 2004, in an effort to further serve GSG’s expanding client base, GSG became the successor accounting firm of the former Graber & Ross Chartered of Hagerstown.

GSG offers a complete array of accounting services for closely held businesses and individuals including financial reporting, audit, review and tax service as well as business advisory services. The firm has niche expertise serving the manufacturing, wholesale-distribution, construction, not-for-profit, employee benefit plans, hospitality and real estate industries as well as specializing in business valuation and litigation support, fraud detection and prevention, high net worth estate and tax planning, and emerging business. GSG will continue its membership in PKF North American Network, the worldwide organization of accounting firms with direct access to 160 offices and staff in North America and 265 firms networked throughout the world.

After more than 70 years of substantial growth, the shared strengths between both companies can easily be combined to position the unified firm as a service and market leader.
