W. James Schiller of Baltimore Re-Elected President of American Zionist Movement

(New York, NY–October 28, 2004) W. James Schiller and six other Zionist leaders were elected to office last week at the Sixth Biennial Assembly of the American Zionist Movement (AZM) held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. This is Mr. Schiller’s second term as AZM President.

Schiller is a CPA and a founding partner in the firm of Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn, P.A. in Baltimore, Maryland. He served in previous administrations as Treasurer and as Chairman of the Board of the American Zionist Movement. He is currently Vice President of the Jewish National Fund, Chairman of the Board of the Baltimore Zionist District, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency. He was elected as a delegate to the 31st, 32nd, 33rd and 34th World Zionist Congresses, and is a member of the Zionist General Council.

The American Zionist Movement is an umbrella organization of 29 adult and youth Zionist organizations spanning the spectrum of Zionist thought and activity. AZM is the successor organization of the American Zionist Federation, which was reconstituted in 1993. It is the American affliate of the World Zionist Organization.
